Ogwumike, Lyttle named WNBA Players of the Week

Los Angeles Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike and Atlanta Dream forward Sancho Lyttle were selected as the WNBA's Players of the Week for the period from June 24-29.

Ogwumike captured her third career Western Conference Player of the Week award after averaging 21 points and nine rebounds in a pair of Sparks' wins. The 2012 No. 1 overall pick shot 63 percent from the field over the two games, highlighted by a 20-point, 11-rebound effort against Seattle on June 24.

Lyttle also took home Eastern Conference weekly honors for the third time in her career. The veteran forward averaged 16 points and nine rebounds to help the Dream to a 2-0 week and currently ranks second in the league with an average of 2.6 steals per game.

A member of the Dream has won the East award in each of the last two weeks, with Angel McCoughtry receiving the honor for games played from June 17-22.
