LSU suspends DB Mills

LSU has suspended junior defensive back Jalen Mills indefinitely.

According to a release from LSU, the ban is the result of Mills' involvement in an off-campus incident. It is being reported by a New Orleans paper that Mills was arrested early Wednesday morning on a second-degree battery charge for allegedly punching a woman in the mouth last month.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that Mills turned himself in to East Baton Rouge Parish Police. Bond was set at $7,000 with the stipulation he not contact the victim, the paper is reporting.

Mills started 26 games over the last two seasons for the Tigers. He was third on the team with 67 tackles in 2013 and tied for the team lead with three interceptions.
