BOSTON, June 2 (UPI) -- Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz is helping recruit NBA player Kevin Love to the Celtics.
Ortiz took his efforts to Twitter Sunday, offering to help the Minnesota Timberwolves power forward with getting acquainted with the city should he move there.
Yo @kevinlove if you need advice on moving from Minnesota to Boston just let me know #CityOfChamps

Love was in Boston over the weekend and took in a Red Sox game against the Tampa Bay Rays at Fenway Park.
The Timberwolves are reportedly attempting to trade Love, who is unhappy in Minnesota. Timberwolves president of basketball operations, Flip Saunders, said the team plans on keeping Love, though.
"I expect him to be playing for us next year," Saunders said.
"I don't really dictate where guys go on vacation or what they do. They can go wherever they want to go," he said of Love's trip to Boston.
