Ender Inciarte and A.J. Pollock had two RBI apiece for the Diamondbacks, who won two of the three games in this series. Chris Owings went 4-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Arizona starter Chase Anderson (3-0) allowed four runs -- one earned -- on eight hits over five innings. He became the first D-backs rookie to win his first three starts.

Tommy Medica finished a single shy of becoming the first Padre to hit for the cycle. He went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored.

San Diego starter Tim Stauffer (2-1) didn't make it out of the first inning. The right-hander gave up seven runs on six hits while recording just one out. Donn Roach allowed three runs on six hits with four strikeouts over four innings of relief.
