Edwin Encarnacion tied a club record for homers in a month, Mark Buehrle picked up his Major League-leading ninth victory of the season and the red-hot Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 9-6, on Tuesday.
Encarnacion's 14 homers in the month of May is tied with Jose Bautista for the most home runs in a month in franchise history. Bautista had 14 homers in June 2012.

Buehrle (9-1) allowed four runs -- three earned -- on eight hits over 6 2/3 innings. The 35-year-old has won five straight decisions since suffering his only loss of the season on April 25 versus Boston.
Sean Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored for the Rays, who have lost the first two contests of this three-game series. Wil Myers knocked in two runs.
Alex Cobb (1-2), who entered the game with a 21 2/3 scoreless-innings streak, gave up six runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts over five innings.
