The Kansas City Royals reinstated infielder Omar Infante from the 15-day disabled list on Monday.
Infante landed on the disabled list in early May due to back stiffness. The 13-year veteran has batted .267 with two homers and 19 RBI over 30 games this season.

After appearing in three games during a rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha, Infante is slated to start at second base and bat second Monday against the Houston Astros.
The Royals optioned pitcher Casey Coleman to Omaha in a corresponding move.
