Los Angeles Kings defeat Anaheim 2-1

The Los Angeles Kings snapped Anaheim's three-game win streak with a 2-1 win Wednesday to force a Game 7 in their Western Conference semifinal series.

For the fifth time this postseason, the Kings found themselves on the brink of elimination.

And just like the last five times, Los Angeles lived to see another day.

Jake Muzzin and Trevor Lewis each lit the lamp, Jonathan Quick stopped 21 shots, and the Los Angeles Kings snapped Anaheim's three-game win streak with a 2-1 win Wednesday to force a Game 7 in their Western Conference semifinal series.

Muzzin opened the scoring with his third of the playoffs 8:16 into the game, while Lewis netted the eventual game-winner with 5:56 left in the second.

Kyle Palmieri found the back of the net just 1:38 later to get the Ducks within one, but Quick turned aside all 10 shots he faced in the third to set the stage for Friday's winner-take-all Game 7.
