Rangers' Harrison placed on DL

The Texas Rangers placed left-hander Matt Harrison on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday.

Harrison started and pitched just 1 2/3 innings in Tuesday's 8-0 loss to Houston before leaving the game with back stiffness. He was diagnosed with lower back inflammation and will have an injection on Friday to try and alleviate the symptoms before considering other options.
