Irving, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Linebacker Bradie James announced his retirement Tuesday following a 10-year NFL career after signing a one-day contract with his original team, the Dallas Cowboys.
James started 111 games over nine seasons with Dallas, which selected the LSU product in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He then played one year with the Houston Texans in 2012 before spending this past season out of football.
The 33-year-old recorded over 100 tackles in five straight seasons with the Cowboys from 2006-10 and was part of four Dallas teams that reached the playoffs, including NFC East titles in 2007 and 2009.
James logged 126 overall starts and finished his career with 561 tackles, 16 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and two interceptions over a total of 157 games.
