Brewers' Henderson lands on DL

Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Brewers placed pitcher Jim Henderson on the 15-day disabled list Friday due to right shoulder inflammation.

Henderson gave up five runs on four hits and walked a batter while recording only two outs in the eighth inning of the Brewers' 8-3 loss to the Reds on Thursday.

The right-hander fell to 2-1 with a 7.15 ERA in 14 relief appearances this season.

In a corresponding move, the Brewers recalled outfielder Caleb Gindl from Triple-A Nashville.

Gindl has hit .284 with seven doubles, two home runs and six RBI in 25 games for Nashville. He made his MLB debut last season, batting .242 with seven doubles, five homers and 14 RBI in 57 games for the Brewers.
