Louisville, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Hoppertunity, the 6-1 second choice in the morning line, will be scratched out of the Kentucky Derby with a hoof problem.
Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert said the colt has a problem with his front left hoof and will be evaluated at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in nearby Lexington.

The Kentucky Derby website has removed Hoppertunity from its post position draw page indicating that the 3-year-old will not start the 140th Run for the Roses on Saturday.
The defection of Hoppertunity allows the also eligible horse, Pablo Del Monte, to start in the opening leg of racing's Triple Crown and break from post 20 in the 20-horse field. Pablo Del Monte is 50-1 in the morning line.
