Clippers' website declares 'We Are One,' as NBA bans Donald Sterling

LOS ANGELES, April 29 (UPI) -- Not long after NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said Tuesday that the league had decided to ban Donald Sterling for life, the Los Angeles Clippers made a powerful statement on their official website.

The site now redirects to a page that reads "We Are One" on a plain black background. There are no links and no other information.

Clippers communications VP Seth Burton told the Los Angeles Times that the organization "wanted to make a stand, apart from Sterling’s comments."

"As players, coaches and an organization we don’t agree with those comments," he said.

The Clippers social media accounts have also changed to reflect the website's "We Are One" message, with other NBA teams following suit.
