Kiessling's season over for Leverkusen

Leverkusen, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Bayer Leverkusen's hopes of a top- four finish received a blow this weekend as striker Stefan Kiessling was ruled out for the final two games of the campaign with a torn hamstring.

Leverkusen sits one point ahead of fifth-place Wolfsburg for the final Champions League place, but the club will now have to secure fourth place without its leading scorer, Kiessling, who has tallied 15 goals in 32 Bundesliga appearances.

The 30-year-old sustained the injury in Leverkusen's 2-2 home draw with Borussia Dortmund, and he will now miss a home match with Eintracht followed by a trip to Werder Bremen to close out the season.

Kiessling led the league in scoring last term with 25 goals in 34 games.
