Moyes, who signed a six-year contract with the Red Devils, lasted 10 months as United manager after taking over for the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson last summer. No United manager has vacated his position as quickly in 82 years.

The news comes on the back of United's 2-0 loss at Everton on Sunday, the club's 11th league defeat of the season. The reigning champions sit seventh in the Premier League table on 57 points, unable to qualify for the Champions League.
