HOUSTON, April 14 (UPI) -- Taylor Kirkwood, an 18-year-old with autism, took a football player to her high school prom at Anahuac High School in Anahuac, Texas. But not just any football player.
With a little help from her mother, who reached out to family friends, Kirkwood got to go to prom with Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael.

"I'm just here for Taylor," Michael said of his prom date. "It's a blessing. Like I said, she's a beautiful kid. I'm very proud of her."
"I'm so happy to go dance and have a good time," Kirkwood said of her day.
