Portland State to face pair from Pac-12

Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Portland State's football program will play a pair of Pac-12 schools and five times at home as part of its 12-game schedule this year.

The Vikings will travel to Oregon State (Aug. 30) and Washington State (Sept. 13) for two of its first three games, meeting Division II Western Oregon in between on Sept. 6 for their home opener.

Coach Nigel Burton's squad, coming off a 6-6 season, also will host Big Sky Conference opponents UC Davis (Oct. 4), Northern Arizona (Oct. 18), Idaho State (Nov. 1) and Eastern Washington (Nov. 21).

Portland State also will travel to Cal Poly (Sept. 20) in a non-conference contest which won't count toward the Big Sky standings. The Vikings' road conference games will be against North Dakota (Oct. 11), Weber State (Oct. 25), Montana State (Nov. 8) and Sacramento State (Nov. 15).

Among Big Sky schools, Portland State will not face Montana, Northern Colorado and Southern Utah.
