Giants keep Patterson, add Bowman

East Rutherford, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Giants have re-signed defensive tackle Mike Patterson and signed free agent cornerback Zack Bowman.

Patterson joined the Giants last year after spending his first eight seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He recorded 35 tackles, including 22 solo, in 16 games last season.

In 131 games, 100 of which have been starts, Patterson has 586 tackles, 16 1/2 sacks, four forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and one interception.

Bowman played his first six NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears and last year finished with 49 tackles and three interceptions in 16 games, starting seven.

In 73 games, including 23 starts, Bowman has 151 tackles with 10 interceptions and five fumble recoveries, two of which he returned for touchdowns. He also has 36 special teams tackles.
