Steelers sign RB Blount to two-year deal

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Pittsburgh Steelers signed running back LeGarrette Blount to a two-year contract.

The deal, announced on Friday, is worth $3.85 million and includes a $950,000 signing bonus, according to ESPN.com.

Blount rushed for 772 yards and seven touchdowns in 16 games for the Patriots last season, reviving his career.

He gained 166 yards with a franchise-record four touchdowns in a playoff win over the Colts that earned the Patriots a berth in the AFC title game.

Blount, 27, went undrafted out of Oregon but was signed by the Titans in 2010. He was let go and spent his first three NFL seasons with the Buccaneers. He has rushed for 2,711 yards and 20 touchdowns in 56 games.
