Mariners fall to Texas Rangers

Colby Lewis tossed five shutout innings and Kevin Kouzmanoff belted a three-run homer as the Texas Rangers earned a 5-3 win over the Seattle Mariners.

Colby Lewis threw five shutout innings and Kevin Kouzmanoff belted a three-run homer as the Texas Rangers rallied for a 5-3 Cactus League win over the Seattle Mariners.

Kouzmanoff's blast highlighted a four-run bottom of the sixth. Seattle had put up a three-spot behind Justin Smoak's two-run homer in the top of the inning.

Seattle starter Erasmo Ramirez was tagged for a run on three hits and struck out six in five-plus innings.
