Rockies ream the Royals

Nolan Arenado hit a two-run home run to lead the Colorado Rockies to an 8-2 win over the Kansas City Royals on Monday.

Nolan Arenado hit a two-run home run to lead the Colorado Rockies to an 8-2 win over the Kansas City Royals on Monday.

Troy Tulowitzki and Ryan Wheeler hit solo home runs in the win for the Rockies. Franklin Morales gave up just one unearned run on three hits with seven strikeouts over five innings.

Johnny Giavotella and Alex Gordon scored the runs for the Royals. Jeremy Guthrie was touched for four runs on six hits over five innings.
