Justin Upton hit a solo home run that helped the Atlanta Braves to a 4-1 win over the New York Mets in Grapefruit League action.

Freddy Garcia hurled 5 1/3 innings for Atlanta, striking out four and giving up one unearned run. Freddie Freeman went 2-for-3 with an RBI double and Chris Johnson and Steven Lerud picked up an RBI apiece.

Kirk Nieuwenhuis knocked in the Mets' only run on a fielder's choice, as the team could only muster two hits. Carlos Torres gave up two runs on six hits over four innings of work.
