Real Salt Lake and the Los Angeles Galaxy left Rio Tinto Stadium with an even split of the points on Saturday as the two sides played to a 1-1 draw.

Alvaro Saborio handed the home side the lead 19 minutes into the match. The Costa Rica international, left unmarked at the back post, collected Joao Plata's cross and tucked home his first goal of the season with a net finish.

Los Angeles battled for equalizer, which eventually came in the 34th minute from Robbie Keane. The Ireland international collected a pass from Juninho and went it alone, drifting inside the penalty area before uncorking a powerful shot past Nick Rimando at the near post.

Salt Lake remains unbeaten under new head coach Jeff Cassar, who has lifted the Claret and Cobalt to five points in his first three games in charge.
