Knicks sign Brown for rest of season

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Knicks signed guard Shannon Brown for the remainder of the season on Thursday.

Brown is averaging 1.8 points per game in nine contests for New York since originally being inked to the first of two 10-day contracts on Feb. 27.

The 28-year-old Michigan State product recorded 2.3 points per game in a 10- game stay with injury-riddled San Antonio earlier in the season.
