Yankees blank the Braves 7-0

Ivan Nova struck out five over 6 1/3 scoreless innings as the New York Yankees blanked the Atlanta Braves, 7-0, in spring training action.

Ivan Nova struck out five over 6 1/3 scoreless innings as the New York Yankees blanked the Atlanta Braves, 7-0, in spring training action.

Nova allowed just two hits, while four Yankees relievers combined to give up just three hits and a walk the rest of the way to preserve the shutout.

Carlos Beltran had three of New York's seven hits, while he and Adonis Garcia each drove in a pair of runs. Yangervis Solarte scored twice.

David Hale drew the start for the Braves and went 4 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits.
