Cardinals sneak past Twins

Matt Adams went 2-for-3 with a solo home run to help lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 3-1 win over the Minnesota Twins in Grapefruit League action.

Matt Adams went 2-for-3 with a solo home run to help lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 3-1 win over the Minnesota Twins in Grapefruit League action.

Randal Grichuk had an RBI double and Peter Bourjos scored on a wild pitch to account for the Cardinals' final two runs. Carlos Martinez lasted 5 1/3 innings, striking out four and giving up one run.

Jason Bartlett picked up the lone RBI for the Twins with a single. Kyle Gibson surrendered one run on four hits in 4 1/3 innings of work.
