Diamondbacks top Brewers

The Arizona Diamondbacks plated three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to top the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-5, in spring training action.

The Arizona Diamondbacks plated three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to top the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-5, in spring training action.

After Cliff Pennington scored on a wild pitch and Shelley Duncan came around on a fielder's choice, Tona Campana drove in the game-winning run with a single to right. All three runs came off Zach Duke, who failed to record an out in the frame.

Martin Prado doubled and drove in a run for Arizona, which was 4-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Trevor Cahill started and went five innings, allowing three runs -- two earned -- on seven hits while striking out seven.

Khris Davis and Caleb Gindl homered for the Brewers, who saw starter Yovani Gallardo allow three runs over five innings.
