Julius Peppers headed to Green Bay

Defensive end Julius Peppers signs three-year contract with Green Bay Packers worth up to $30 million.

Defensive end Julius Peppers has not only switched teams by signing with the Green Bay Packers, the former Chicago Bears player has switched sides in a long-running rivalry.

Peppers signed a three-year contract with the Packers worth up to $30 million Saturday.

The Bears released Peppers Tuesday in an effort to save $9.8 million in cap space.

His agent, Carl Carey, announced the move Saturday on Twitter with a photo of Peppers checking out the famous Lambeau Field.
