Cleveland and Chicago end spring training in tie

David Cooper's sac fly in the eighth inning helped the Cleveland Indians finish in a 2-2 tie with the Chicago White Sox in spring training action on Friday.

David Cooper's sac fly in the eighth inning helped the Cleveland Indians finish in a 2-2 tie with the Chicago White Sox in spring training action on Friday.

Cleveland's other run came when Cooper came home on a passed ball by Josh Phegley in the seventh. Starter Josh Tomlin lasted five innings and allowed two runs on five hits with five strikeouts.

Conor Gillaspie and Phegley both hit solo home runs in the fifth and Dylan Axelrod surrendered two hits and two walks over three innings for the White Sox.
