"His foot looks good. We've got him back under tack, and we hope to maybe be back on the work tab next week," Pletcher said.

"It healed up well; we just didn't want to rush things and make sure we get it right. As far as quarter cracks go, it was a pretty minor one."

Pletcher indicated that the gray colt may return in the seven-furlong Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct on April 5.

Havana was scratched from the Swale Stakes on March 1 with a quarter crack in his right front foot. The 3-year-old was scheduled to make his 2014 debut in the seven-furlong stakes.

Owned by the partnership of Susan Magnier, Derrick Smith and Michael Tabor, Havana was second to New Year's Day in last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile as the 5-2 favorite.

The 3-year-old, winner of the Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park, has earned $708,000.
