Cyclones blow past K-State in Big 12 quarterfinals

Melvin Ejim had 24 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in the 16th-ranked Iowa State Cyclones' 91-85 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament.

Melvin Ejim had 24 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks in the 16th-ranked Iowa State Cyclones' 91-85 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament.

Dustin Hogue added 19 points, 10 boards and two steals for the Cyclones (24-7), who will face either Oklahoma State or Kansas in the semifinals on Friday. Georges Niang tallied 18 points and seven rebounds.

Marcus Foster ended with 21 points for the Wildcats (20-12). Shane Southwell donated 19 points and seven boards and Nigel Johnson added 17 points.
