Cardinals land OT Veldheer

Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Cardinals signed free-agent offensive tackle Jared Veldheer to a five-year contract on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-8 Veldheer spent the past four seasons with Oakland, which selected him in the third round of the 2010 draft.

His final campaign with the Raiders was limited to five games because of a triceps injury.

Veldheer, 26, had started all 16 games in each of the previous two seasons.
