Jaguars trade Gabbert to 49ers

Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded quarterback Blaine Gabbert to the San Francisco 49ers for an undisclosed draft pick.

The Jaguars selected Gabbert with the 10th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Missouri. Gabbert opened the past two seasons as the starting quarterback, but played in just three games after suffering a thumb/hand injury in 2013.

Gabbert returned Week 8 to serve as Chad Henne's backup for the rest of the season.

Over 28 career games -- 27 starts -- Gabbert completed 414-of-777 passes for 4,357 yards 22 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Jacksonville is expected to select a quarterback in the upcoming NFL Draft.
