INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Champions Tour golfer Steve Elkington may want to re-think his social media usage after teeing off on gay NFL hopeful Michael Sam on Twitter on Tuesday. Elkington apparently had an issue with ESPN’s coverage of Michael Sam at the NFL Combine and decided to air his grievances for the world to see.

During the 2013 Senior British Open, Elkington apologized after he posted a series of tweets that criticized the city of Southport and used an offensive term to describe Pakistani people.
