Zakopalova and Nara reach finals of Rio Open

RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic reached the finals of the Rio Open Saturday with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Brazil's Teliana Pereira.

Zakopalova will face No. 5 seed Kurumi Nara of Japan, who advanced with a three-set win over Italian qualifier Nastassja Burnett 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.

Zakopalova broke Pereira's serve seven times and won 8-of-10 break points.

Zakopalova will be seeking her third career championship on Sunday. Nara will be appearing in her first finals.
