AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 24 points and Vince Carter added 18 more Saturday in the Dallas Mavericks' 113-102 win over Detroit.

Monta Ellis netted 12 points and handed out 13 assists as the Mavs recorded a third win in four games.

Samuel Dalembert provided 12 points with 11 rebounds and Shawn Marion helped out with 10 points and 11 boards.

The Pistons got 32 points from Josh Smith in their fourth loss in five contests. Greg Monroe had 17 points and 17 rebounds.
