ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and his fiancee were arrested after they allegedly had a fight at a casino in Atlantic City, N.J., police said.

The Atlantic City Police Department arrested Rice and Janay Palmer about 2:50 a.m. EST. Saturday, the Baltimore Sun reported Sunday.

The incident was recorded by video surveillance, police said.

"The complaint summons indicates that both Rice and Palmer struck each other with their hands," a statement from police said.

Rice, 27, and Palmer, 26, were charged with simple assault-domestic violence and were released from jail on a summons to appear in court, the newspaper said.

Neither Rice nor Palmer reported any injuries and both refused medical treatment.

"We are aware of the Friday night situation with Ray Rice and his fiancee. We have spoken with Ray, and know that they returned home together after being detained," said Chad Steele, the Ravens' director of public relations.
