Olympic biathlon final postponed until Monday

SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- The men's 15-kilometer biathlon mass start race was postponed Sunday due to fog.

Biathlon events at this year's Olympics have been contested under the lights and the mass start competition was to have begun at 7 p.m. local time. Officials at first pushed the start of the race back an hour and then decided to postpone it until Monday.

The start time was listed for 10 a.m. local time.

Norway's Ole Einar Bjorndalen will be trying to set an Olympic record for most medals won in a career. He has tried and failed twice at these Games to set that record, which he now shares with Norwegian cross-country skier Bjorn Daehlie. They both have 12 medals.
