The win over China came in Sweden's only game of the day and Britain also played just once, getting past Denmark 8-6.

Canada was alone in fourth place at 4-2, having recorded its third straight win with a 4-2 decision over Norway.

The Norwegians have a 3-3 record while Denmark, Russia and the United States are all 2-4.

The top four teams at the end of the nine-game, round-robin tournament advance to the semifinals.
