NBA: Minnesota 117, Denver 90

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Kevin Love scored 32 points and Corey Brewer added 22 Wednesday to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 117-90 win over the visiting Denver Nuggets.

Love also tallied 11 rebounds and narrowly missed a triple-double with eight assists.

Jose Juan Barea added 18 points off the bench and Ricky Rubio finished with 11 points, 12 assists and seven steals for the Timberwolves, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Minnesota got off to a fast start, shooting 50 percent from the field in the first quarter, and leading 61-41 at halftime.

Denver cut Minnesota's lead to 18 points in the fourth quarter, but also trailed by as much as 36 in the final period.

Jordan Hamilton led Denver with 16 points and J.J. Hickson added 14 points and 13 rebounds. Denver lost its fourth consecutive contest.
