Olympic Medal: Men's Luge Doubles

SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt of Germany won the Olympic gold medal Wednesday in luge doubles.

Germans have won all three of the luge events contested at the Sochi Olympics.

Wendl and Arlt unseated two-time defending Olympic champions Andreas and Wolfgang Linger of Austria. The Linger brothers finished a half second behind the winners in the combined time for two runs.

The bronze went to another brother duo, Andris and Juris Sics of Latvia. They had won the silver medal in Vancouver.
