SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Dara Howell of Canada won the gold medal Tuesday in the first women's freestyle skiing slopestyle competition ever held in the Winter Olympics.
The silver went to Devin Logan of the United States and Canada's Kim Lamarre took the bronze.

It was the third gold medal awarded in freestyle skiing at these Games and athletes from Canada have won them all. Canadians have won six of the nine medals overall in the sport.
