NHL: Montreal 4, Carolina 1

RALEIGH, N.C., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- David Desharnais netted a pair of goals Saturday, elevating Montreal over Carolina 4-1 for a third straight win heading into the Winter Olympics break.

The Canadiens roared back from a 1-0 deficit to tally four unanswered goals on their way to the victory.

Ryan White added a goal and an assist and Brian Gionta also scored.

Brendan Gallagher helped out with two assists.

Carey Price, who will be playing for Team Canada, earned the decision with 31 saves.

Drayson Bowman scored for Carolina, losers of two in three games.

Anton Khudobin turned aside 20-of-23 shots.
