GLENDALE, Ariz., Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Mike Smith posted his second shutout of the season Friday, stopping all 29 shots he faced in the Phoenix Coyotes' 2-0 victory over Chicago.
Smith was busiest in the second period when he turned aside 14 Chicago shots en route to his 26th career whitewash.

Keith Yandle provided a goal and an assist and Radim Vrbata added a power-play goal for the Coyotes, who bypassed Vancouver to take over the second wild card playoff spot in the Western Conference with a second win in three games.
Corey Crawford made 24 saves for the Blackhawks, who were shut out for the first time 127 games stretching back nearly a year.
