NBA: Minnesota 109, Los Angeles Lakers 99

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Kevin Love scored 31 points and grabbed 17 rebounds Tuesday to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves past the Los Angeles Lakers 109-99.

Love hit 8-of-19 shots from the field and added 13 points from the free-throw line in the win, which came after back-to-back losses for the Timberwolves.

Kevin Martin led Minnesota with 32 points. The T-Wolves led the entire game and out-rebounded the Lakers 53-38.

Steve Nash returned to the Los Angeles lineup for the first time since early November and scored seven points with nine assists in 24 minutes. Nick Young led the injury-plagued Lakers with 24 points and Manny Harris added 19.

Minnesota led 68-52 at halftime. The Lakers got no closer than seven from the lead in the second half.
