Super Bowl forecast: 44 degrees, little chance of rain

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Forecasters predict weather at kickoff for Sunday's Super Bowl in New Jersey will be unseasonably mild with little chance for precipitation.

After days of speculation -- and hints Super Bowl Sunday could turn into Super Bowl Monday if mother nature had her say -- NBC says the game-time temperature will be 44 degrees at kickoff, slated for about 6:30 p.m. EST.

There is a 10 percent chance of rain.

Temperatures are expected to drop throughout the evening and overnight, with a higher chance of snow showers Monday morning -- so the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks may be locking horns during the optimal weather window of the next few days.
