Anton Khubodin stopped 23-of-26 shots. Riley Nash, Tuomo Ruutu and Eric Staal also scored for Carolina.

Kyle Turris scored two goals and Mika Zibanejad added a goal for the Senators, who have lost back-to-back games. Robin Lehner lasted two periods in goal, stopping 17-of-22 shots. Craig Anderson made nine saves in the third period.

The game had been scheduled for Friday night, but was postponed a day due to bad weather that caused the Hurricanes game in Philadelphia on Tuesday to be postponed to Wednesday. Carolina played in Buffalo Thursday, but could not play three days in a row.
