NBA: Toronto 94, Minnesota 89

TORONTO, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Kyle Lowry's 24 points helped push Toronto to a 94-89 win over Minnesota Friday, the Raptors 10th straight home win over the Timberwolves.

It was Toronto's sixth consecutive victory at home overall and increased the Raptors' lead in the Atlantic Division to four games over Brooklyn.

Toronto had an eight-point lead heading into the fourth period and the final score was as close as Minnesota could come in the closing 12 minutes.

Amir Johnson contributed 19 points for Toronto, Terrence Ross had 16 and DeMar DeRozan had 15.

Kevin Martin led the Timberwolves with 18 points, Kevin Love had 16 points and 12 rebounds with J.J. Barea adding 14.

It was Minnesota's third straight loss.
