HONOLULU, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Chris Kirk fired a 5-under 65 to separate himself from a crowded field Saturday and grab a one-shot lead after three rounds of the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Kirk, seeking his third PGA Tour victory, finished 54 holes at 12-under 198, one better than Will Wilcox (6-under 64) and Harris English (67) at Waialae Country Club.

Knotted for fourth place at 10-under 200 were 2002 champion Jerry Kelly (66) and Jimmy Walker (67).
Zach Johnson, coming off a victory last week at Kapalua, carded a 66, as did Retief Goosen. They ended the third round knotted for sixth place at minus-9.
