DENVER, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Mike Cammalleri scored the go-ahead goal on a third-period power play Monday, providing the difference in Calgary's 4-3 win over Colorado.
With the score tied 3-3 late in the game, the Avs were whistled for having too many men on the ice, giving the Flames a man-advantage.
Cammalleri responded by snapping a one-time shot off a pass from Jiri Hudler past Jean-Sebastien Giguere with 3:30 remaining, enabling Calgary to break a four-game losing streak.
Hudler and Joe Colborne each supplied a goal and an assist and Sean Monahan also scored.
Karri Ramo stopped 22-of-25 shots to earn the win.
Nathan MacKinnon scored twice for a second straight game and Paul Stastny added a goal and an assist for the Avs, who fell for the first time in four games.
Giguere finished with 15 stops.
