MONTREAL, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Carey Price stopped 26-of-27 Florida shots, including all 16 in the third period, and Montreal held on for a 2-1 decision over the Panthers Monday.
Price -- hoping to the named to the Canadian Olympic hockey squad when it is announced Tuesday -- kept Montreal in the game with a flurry of third-period stops en route to his 20th victory of the season.
David Desharnais and Brian Gionta scored for the Habs, who notched a second win in three games.
Sean Bergenheim got the only goal for Florida, losers of five in seven.
Tim Thomas turned aside 33-of-35 shots.
